1923 French violin by René Cunè € 5.500,00 Add to cart The add to cart button will appear once you select the values above A fantastically open-sounding violin in superb condition, made, labelled and iron-branded by Renè Cuné, Mirecourt in 1923. The rib wood is very distinctive with a consistent straight line flame pattern which creates a strong perpendicular angularity with the front and back. Beautiful carving and inking of the scroll, the corners and f-holes in this Stradivari-patterned violin combine with a rich coloured varnish of slightly matt finish make this a stunning violin to look at and to touch. It is set up with Thomastik Infeld Red strings which give it a warm and powerful response with a great E string.
